Tour description

The M’nong Gong Cultural Exchange Program in Lak District is a unique cultural experience that reflects the rich heritage of the Central Highlands. Visitors will be immersed in a traditional musical space where the resonating sounds of gongs echo through the mountains and forests. You’ll be invited to join in the Xoang dance, sip traditional ruou can (fermented rice wine), and listen to legendary tales about the mountains and the M’nong people.

This is a special opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual life of the local community while helping to preserve and promote this precious intangible cultural heritage.

Program
The experience usually lasts around two hours in the evening, after a day of outdoor exploration. Visitors return to the village to engage in a cultural exchange with local artisans, learning about the M’nong gong tradition and enjoying the vibrant communal atmosphere.

This program supports community development by creating job opportunities and income for local ethnic minority groups. The performers are M’nong artisans from villages near the forest. A troupe of 12 to 20 members will join in a cultural exchange with visitors.

We encourage you to bring along friends or family, or join a shared tour group, to enhance the spirit of connection and community bonding.

Note

Tour price does not include transportation to and from the village.

Please make a reservation in advance so the local artisans can prepare to welcome you in the best way.

Visitors are encouraged to show respect for the cultural identity and traditional customs of the local community.

You are welcome to offer a tip to the artisans as a way to support them in preserving and promoting their valuable cultural heritage.

The schedule can be adjusted depending on actual conditions and your preferences.
