This walking tour is a new activity that replaces the traditional elephant riding tours. It offers visitors the chance to observe elephants in their natural forest environment, helping to ensure better welfare for the animals.
Guests will follow a local guide on a light trek into the forest, walking along the paths where elephants roam. From a safe distance, you'll watch the elephants in their natural habitat and learn about their daily behaviors. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating stories about elephants, including their role in local traditions and culture.

Tour itinerary
Your experience begins with a warm welcome at our Forest Welcome Station, located at National Road 27, Buon Dung Guol, Lien Son Commune, Lak District (just 200m from Lak Pass). Here, you'll complete a brief check-in and receive important safety guidelines.
From the station, guests will be transferred by vehicle approximately 3 km to the forest entrance, along a peaceful concrete road nestled between lush forest and the vast Lak lakeside fields.
At the forest gate, the group will start a 2 km guided walk through gentle hills, forest trails, and elephant tracks—following in the footsteps of the elephants until you reach their natural feeding and social area.
You’ll have time to quietly observe the elephants in their natural habitat, while keeping a respectful distance. Our guide and mahout will share insights into elephant behavior, their role in local culture, and the surrounding forest landscape.
Toward the end of the tour, the group will make its way back out of the forest. Vehicles will be waiting to transfer guests back to the Welcome Station, where the tour concludes.
